Psychotherapy Services

Our life is filled with joy and loss, with holding on and letting go.

Sometimes we get stuck in a place or feel like we are holding on to behaviors or thoughts that keep us trapped. These strategies might have helped us cope at earlier points in our life, but are not helping now. Therapy is a process where we will work together to identify your strengths, understand your challenges and move you towards healing and reclaiming the life you want to live.


Language around illness, depression and anxiety, or trauma leaves one with a label. You are depressed. You are anxious. You have cancer. You have PTSD. I prefer, “You are (Your name) living with depression, living with anxiety, living with cancer, or recovering from trauma.” This connects you to your humanness and your power to heal and make changes. It allows you to embrace the hope that you will make changes to feel connected to yourself, living your life.


Traumas are hard things that happen in life that leave us feeling isolated and alone. Challenges are hard things that happen in life where we are supported by a caring community. We are able to bear hard things when we journey with others who accept us, shine a light on our strengths, and help us choose a different path with our inner wisdom as a guide. Therapy is a process that helps a person change traumas into challenges. It builds on a person’s resilience and strengths.
